Who are we?

We are local Christians. We know the Lord Jesus Christ as our saviour. We have each had our lives changed by knowing Jesus Christ. We have different backgrounds and histories but are now united by the fact that we have been saved by the tremendous grace of God through the giving of His Son, Jesus Christ, to lift us from the despair into which sin had led us and lead us instead into light, freedom and hope. We are filled with joy. We are filled with peace. We have found Him as a real and living saviour.
 

Our desire is to use all that we have to bring people into the same relationship with Jesus that we ourselves are enjoying. We want others to have the peace and joy that comes with finding and trusting in our wonderful saviour. It is the love of God, seen in Jesus Christ and implanted in our hearts by His Holy Spirit that compels us to seek the blessing of all mankind.

We meet simply as Christians. We don’t have a name, or claim to belong to any denomination. We belong to Jesus Christ and preach His name as the basis for the salvation and blessing of all. We study God’s word to us in the Bible. We seek to encourage each other and strengthen each other in faith. We enjoy and share the glimpses of glory that the Holy Spirit gives us. We praise God in song from hearts that are often overwhelmed with the surpassing greatness of God’s love towards us.

We don’t claim to be the best group of Christians in the world. We know we aren’t perfect. We know we fail to do what we should do at times. However, we also know that all things are possible in the power that Jesus Christ gives and we aim always to be like Him.
